The People of Pittsburgh

With their can-do, blue collar attitude and a work hard play hard mentality, the people of Pittsburgh were shaped by the steel industry and everything that came with it. There's no doubt that the steel industry had an effect on the city as a whole, but what were the effects on the people themselves? I can say from personal experience that Pittsburgh and its people are like no others you'll find. Pittsburghers are ruthless and kind-hearted with an attitude made for the steel mills. The steel company that made its town into what it is today also made the people. Carnegie opened up the opportunity for the people of Pittsburgh to thrive and created thousands of jobs and allowed small towns like Homestead and Aliquippa to thrive.
